Bass Fishing for Noobs

Sean Lavery

My name is Sean Lavery.  I'm from York, PA.  Although I grew up a quarter mile from the Susquehanna River, I didn't grow up fishing like most of my co-hosts on Paddle N Fin.  I got into kayak fishing after suffering a heart attack at the age of 39 and needing to find a hobby I could do while giving my heart some time to heal.  I started reading about guys fishing off their kayaks and did a bunch of research and gave it a try.  I was instantly hooked! Not only was it good exercise but it was also extremely therapeutic and helped me relax and deal with some of the anxiety I had during my recovery.  I also love the camaraderie of the kayak fishing community.  Once I started I wanted to learn everything I could about kayak fishing and that led me to Paddle N Fin.  After listening for quite a while I reached out to my bud Ryan since I noticed he was one of the few hosts flying solo on the podcast and the rest as they say is history.  Some of the things I love most about being a part of Paddle N Fin  are being able to talk to some of the best anglers in kayak fishing, share techniques and tips with other anglers as well as just to chat fishing with anyone who wants to.  I love sharing my passion for kayak fishing with anyone interested and helping our sport grow.  From sitting on a glass surface lake at sunrise as my kayak gently rocks as I paddle watching the sun break over the horizon, to the tug of a fish on the end of my line (doesn't matter if its a creek chub or a 42" striper) I love the experiences I have while taking part in this sport and want everyone else to have to those experiences as well.  The tug is absolutely my drug!
