In the world of kayak fishing few names resonate with the passion and dedication of West Virginia's John Rapp. Rapp has transformed his love for the sport into a marketable career not just as a competitor, but pivotal figure in the growth and promotion of kayak fishing.

John's journey into the world of kayak fishing began over a decade ago. Drawn into the sport by the lure of West Virginia’s rich river systems. He found in Kayak Fishing, the perfect blend of adventure and sport. His of choice of kayak is the FeelFree Moken 12.5 it became more than just his kayak. It was his gateway to the wild waters of his home state.

John's career is a testament his dedication and Fishing. He has participated in over 200 tournaments evident from his early tourney X ID number #88. Rapp’s achieved two top 25 rankings and two national championships (2016 & 2018). He's won the two day 2016 #MSKA championship. He found and still manages one of the largest fishing clubs in West Virginia #WVKA and organizes the FeelFree Summer Slam national customer appreciation event since it inception in 2019 and over last couple years has became the Fishing Team manager for ZPRO lithium and FeelFree kayaks.

Rapp started the Rusty Hook Kayak Fishing Podcast to share stories and insights interviewing the numerous kayak anglers and other industry insiders he’s met to shorten the learning curve for his listeners coming into the kayak fishing world.
